The Regional Agricultural Technology Extension Center related person in charge introduced that the mid-term survey of cotton growth, a total of 85500 mu of cotton fields were investigated in various cotton planting counties (cities), and the statistics were carried out from the cotton plant height, the number of fruit branches per plant, the number of bolls, the number of flowers, and the number of buds. The survey shows that the number of bolls and flowers of upland cotton is slightly higher than that of the same period of previous years, and the total number of flowers and bolls per mu of long staple cotton is significantly higher than that of the same period of previous years. It is predicted that the total cotton yield in this region will increase slightly.

Cotton is one of the main sources of income for local farmers. According to the statistics of the regional agricultural and rural Bureau, in 2021, the cotton planting area in the region is 7.1 million mu, including 6.45 million mu of upland cotton and 650 000 mu of long staple cotton. The main planting areas are Aksu City, Awati County, Shaya county and other counties (cities).

At present, it is the cotton full boll period, which is also the key period of cotton field management. Cotton farmers around the country seize the agricultural time to do a good job in integrated control of water and fertilizer and pest control, so as to lay a foundation for high yield and harvest of cotton.

At present, cotton has entered the middle stage of growth and development when the factors of yield formation tend to be fixed.
